Our story
Why “Unseen City”?

June 2020
Birthed from our Final Year Project in Ngee Ann Polytechnic as Business and Social Enterprise students, we wanted to create
an alternative medium to engage our Singaporean Youths and inspire them to initiate
social changes.
September 2020
We realised that as we bask in the pride of our dazzling city,
many forget that within exists an Unseen City where social issues and vulnerable communities are.
Especially individuals from
low-income families who are facing crisis upon crisis from the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to
shed light on their lives and assets.
January 2021
Beyond publishing graphic novels, the team also explored other means of medium to cater to more groups of youths.
There, we designed an online and offline gamified workshop to allow our participants to simulate the lives of the individuals, as well as to experience the cognitive load that the community will face.
March 2021 - Present
We engaged Youth Networks and schools to run our workshops online and in person.
Moving forward, the team will still be running our workshops and keeping our graphic novels accessible, while working on another theme of graphic novel!
